Fez
Imperial city Fez consists actually out of three different cities: Fez el Bali was the residence of many Arab families during their flight from Andalucia. The construction of palaces of the Meriniden in the thirteenth century, the city was too small, what is causing it outside the walls of the old city of Fez el Jedid the new was built. Much later there was also a 'city' to European model, with broad avenues.
Fez is the cultural capital of Morocco. The main attractions include the Palace Dar el-Batha and Qaraouiyyin Mosque.
